When Tim related with National Able Network, he applied for and was accepted into the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity (WIOA) Program. From personal experience and trade research, Tim knew that the healthcare industry had loads of opportunities for progress in the future. He was trying ahead to his coac hing and the start of a new profession. As he researched coaching places, Tim worked with profession coach, Shawn McKenzie on planning his profession path, with the objective of turning into a medical assistant and ultimately working in medical coding. Upon finishing his training, Tim acquired three certifications: Medical Admin Assistant Certification, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, and Certified Professional Coder. Tim far exceeded the expectations in the classroom and he did so nicely on his certification exams that the training organization requested he stay on board and become a tutor! Tim is currently tutoring whereas continuing his job search. He has joined a job search work staff with different job seekers who assist help each other by sharing suggestions and tips, a service Tim finds very valuable. As he reflected on his profession journey, and how the WIOA program helped him reskill, Tim says, “If I had one factor to inform somebody whether or not they’re workin g or not is to keep getting better, hold getting educated.
